1. Golden Visa for Nurses Recognized for Their Long-Term Service
On the occasion of the UAE's celebration of International Nurses Day on May 12, the government announced the granting of a 10-year long-term residency visa.
Based on recent directives from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Prime Minister of the UAE, nursing professionals with more than 15 years of experience are eligible to receive a 10-year Golden Visa.
This step comes as part of the UAE government's deep appreciation for the vital role nurses play in improving the quality of healthcare and their role as essential partners in building a healthier society.
2. Golden Visa for Outstanding Teachers
Workers in the private education sector in the UAE, whether in schools or universities, are eligible to receive a 10-year Golden Visa.
Education professionals, specifically those who have made exceptional contributions to the UAE's education sector, are eligible. This visa is evaluated based on academic achievements and efforts to raise the level of education in the country.
Teachers in childcare centers and higher education institutions are also eligible to receive this visa based on specific criteria, which can be found on the Knowledge and Human Development Authority's website.
3. Content Creators and Filmmakers
Social media influencers, digital content creators, and filmmakers can also obtain a 10-year Golden Visa under the country's Creative Residency Program.
This category was included during the Billion Followers Summit to support the creative economy, enabling applicants to live and work in the UAE without a sponsor.
Through this initiative, the UAE seeks to become a global hub for digital storytelling and media production worldwide.
4. Esports and Gaming Professionals
This visa is for those working in the gaming and esports sector. However, the UAE government imposes several requirements to obtain the Golden Visa, including being at least 25 years old.
Applicants for the Golden Visa must also have a certification from the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, as part of Dubai's efforts to become a global hub for esports.
5. Golden Visa for Luxury Yacht Owners
During the Abu Dhabi Golden Wharf initiative, the government announced a Golden Visa for luxury yacht owners in Abu Dhabi, for high-net-worth individuals in the marine tourism sector.
The government has set certain conditions for individuals to obtain the Golden Visa, including owning a private yacht 40 meters or more in length. The visa is also granted to manufacturing and service executives, shareholders, agents, and insurance companies in yacht companies.
