Kuwait Public Authority for Civil Information announced new facilities to simplify Civil ID renewal, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts, allowing citizens and residents to complete transactions quickly without visiting service centers.

The Public Authority for Civil Information confirmed that the process is now more flexible, enabling users to complete renewal procedures entirely online, with physical presence required only for card collection.

The Public Authority for Civil Information revealed that four main channels are available for renewal, including the unified government app Sahel, phone service, official website, and SMS service.

Through the Sahel app, users can access Civil ID services, submit renewal requests digitally, and track application status in real time, supporting Kuwait’s smart government initiatives.

The Public Authority for Civil Information also clarified that users can renew via phone by calling 1889988 and following voice instructions without internet access, in addition to the official website which allows easy application submission and online payment, alongside SMS service as an additional option.
