His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, paid an evening visit to the Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah building at the Ministry of Interior, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister.

Upon arrival, His Highness was received by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Abdulwahab Ahmad Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib, and senior leaders of the ministry, where he reviewed the ministry’s efforts and recent accomplishments.

During the visit, His Highness delivered a comprehensive address to Ministry personnel, underscoring that security represents the fundamental pillar of state strength and societal stability, and that the Ministry of Interior serves as the first line of defense in enforcing the law and maintaining order. He praised the dedication and discipline of its personnel across all sectors, noting their role in reinforcing the authority of the state and safeguarding rights.

The Amir commended the ministry’s recent achievements, including receiving two awards from the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in the fields of Arab and international cooperation, recognition of its coordination among anti-narcotics agencies across Arab states. He also highlighted legislative developments, including implementation of the new traffic law to reduce accidents and the new law combating narcotics and psychotropic substances, which established a robust regulatory and punitive framework to protect society.

His Highness further referred to qualitative advancements in the security system, including the launch of a smart patrol vehicle utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, the development of land border monitoring systems, and the operation of unmanned maritime vessels within the Coast Guard fleet to enhance readiness and border protection. He emphasized continued investment in human capital, including empowering Kuwaiti women in security roles and sending female personnel for the first time to the Royal Naval College in the United Kingdom, alongside cooperation with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, affirming that security is built on knowledge.

Concluding his address, the Amir reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Ministry of Interior, directing continued vigilance, fair and impartial law enforcement, strengthened regional and international partnerships, institutional governance, cybersecurity advancement, and adoption of smart solutions to meet evolving challenges, while praying for Kuwait’s continued safety, stability, and prosperity.
