His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain issued an official circular regarding the Eid Al Fitr holiday for the year 1447 AH confirming that all ministries government entities and public institutions will be closed on the day of Eid and the two days following it while the weekend days that fall within the holiday period will be compensated by extending the leave by two additional days ensuring that public sector employees receive the full benefit of the official holiday in line with Bahrain’s commitment to work life balance and respect for religious occasions.

During the weekly cabinet meeting chaired by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister the Council of Ministers began by extending sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al Fitr expressing heartfelt wishes for continued prosperity security and stability for the Kingdom of Bahrain its citizens residents and the Arab and Islamic nations highlighting the spirit of unity and shared values that define the celebration of this important religious occasion.

In a significant move aimed at supporting citizens and residents ahead of Eid His Royal Highness directed the early disbursement of salaries for all government employees and retirees for the month of March with payments scheduled for Wednesday March 18 2026 while salaries for April will be paid on Wednesday April 22 2026 this step is intended to reduce the time gap between salary payments and provide financial flexibility for families during the festive period reinforcing the government’s commitment to social stability and economic support.

The cabinet also reviewed proactive plans and measures implemented to address the repercussions of the recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain examining the availability of food supplies and consumer goods as well as the smooth operation of supply chains across local markets the council confirmed the stability of supply conditions and instructed the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to continue cooperation with the private sector to strengthen market oversight intensify inspection campaigns and ensure price stability and product availability.

In conclusion the Council of Ministers praised the vigilance and high readiness demonstrated by the Bahrain Defense Force the National Guard the Ministry of Interior and all security and civil agencies in handling ongoing developments while also commending the responsible national spirit shown by citizens and residents and their cooperation with authorities the council expressed pride in national competencies across various sectors welcomed the United Nations Security Council resolution condemning the unjustified Iranian attacks on GCC states and Jordan extended condolences to the family of the citizen who lost her life in the attacks and wished a speedy recovery to the injured while also approving several agreements legislative amendments and reports related to regional and international cooperation.
