Today, the Emirate of Sharjah begins the implementation of Law No. 7 of 2025 concerning the regulation of the judicial authority in Sharjah, issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

The law introduces several judicial principles, emphasizing that justice is a fundamental right, ensuring fair litigation for all individuals and prohibiting any act that would undermine this principle.

The law stipulates that litigation is a protected and guaranteed right for everyone, ensuring that all individuals are treated fairly in judicial proceedings, and all litigants are equal before the law without discrimination.

The new judicial principles provided by the law underscore the independence of judges in performing their duties, bound only by the constitution, with no other authority influencing their exercise of duty. It also guarantees the honor and integrity of judicial members, emphasizing their neutrality as a safeguard for rights and freedoms. The law also reaffirms that the right to legal defense is protected for litigants at all stages of investigation and trial.
