The Sharjah Electricity Authority launches its annual program to educate students about conserving electricity and water.

Sharjah: In a strategic move coinciding with the return of students to schools, the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority has unveiled its annual program aimed at promoting electricity and water conservation. The initiative seeks to enlighten approximately 3,000 students across various educational stages in both private and public schools within the Emirate of Sharjah, focusing on methods and behaviors for optimal energy and water use.

Rashed Al Marzouqi, Director of the Media and Communications Department, highlighted that this launch is a part of the authority's commitment to supporting sustainability efforts within Sharjah. It aims to achieve environmental goals by preserving natural resources and reducing the carbon footprint.

Saeed Al Naqbi, Head of Education and Awareness Section, mentioned that the program includes school visits along with a variety of activities such as awareness campaigns through media channels and social platforms. Additionally, there will be competitions with rewarding prizes.

The authority calls upon all schools in Sharjah to actively engage in this program to ensure a more sustainable future.
