The latest figures from the General Authority for Statistics reveal that Saudi Arabia experienced a 0.7 percent increase in its Construction Cost Index (CCI) in July 2025 compared to the previous year.
This rise has been attributed to both residential and non-residential construction segments, with respective cost increases of 0.7 percent and 0.6 percent.
Examining these changes on a month-to-month basis, residential construction costs saw an uptick of 0.4 percent from June to July 2025, while non-residential costs rose by 0.5 percent during the same period.
The index reflects price shifts across a wide spectrum of construction inputs, encompassing over 51 distinct goods and services. These data points are gathered monthly from various regions throughout the Kingdom, with 2023 serving as the base year for comparison.
Key Figures for July 2025:
- Year-over-Year CCI: +0.7%
- Residential Year-over-Year: +0.7% | Month-over-Month: +0.4%
- Non-Residential Year-over-Year: +0.6% | Month-over-Month: +0.5%
This steady growth in input costs highlights ongoing pressures in both sectors tracked by the national index, according to Akhbrna News' interpretation of GASTAT's data release.
