Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the full completion of preparations across public and private schools ahead of the resumption of in-person classes starting Sunday, confirming readiness to welcome more than 417,000 students within a safe and stable learning environment designed to ensure continuity and efficiency.
The ministry stated that all sectors worked in coordination to finalize preparations, with the General Services Department playing a key role in preparing school facilities through preventive maintenance and verification of operational systems and technical services to guarantee smooth daily operations.
Mariam Abdullah Al Mohannadi, Director of Public Relations and Communication, emphasized that the return to classroom learning reflects strong coordination between ministry sectors and national authorities, reinforcing confidence within the school community and ensuring a structured and secure return for students.
As part of safety enhancement efforts, the General Directorate of Civil Defense organized awareness workshops attended by around 1,200 participants, including school leaders and safety officers, focusing on emergency response procedures, national alert system protocols, and evacuation and shelter strategies.
The ministry also highlighted initiatives to support students’ psychological well-being, including coordination meetings with specialists to facilitate student reintegration, alongside the distribution of safety guidelines and implementation of structured plans aimed at maintaining a stable and motivating educational environment.
