Ras Al Khaimah Police have confiscated 491 illegal bikes in a recent campaign.

A comprehensive campaign aimed at ensuring safe mobility and reducing the number of traffic accidents and fatalities has led to the seizure of illegal bikes across various roads in Ras Al Khaimah.

The operation was carried out by the Traffic and Patrols Department between April 22 and May 1 and resulted in the confiscation of 491 unregistered bicycles, which included motorcycles, regular bicycles, and electric scooters.

The Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that the initiative is part of the General Command’s efforts, under the directives of Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Neyadi, to enhance road safety and address the hazards posed by non-compliant bikes to both riders and other road users. The campaign also emphasizes the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Authorities have urged parents to cooperate with the police by preventing their children from riding any type of bike in unauthorized areas. This precaution is vital for the safety of young riders and others, as it helps mitigate noise disturbances and potential traffic disruptions that could lead to serious accidents.
