Qatar's Ministry of Justice joins an EU-Arab League workshop to enhance criminal justice collaboration, focusing on combating terrorism and strengthening justice systems.

Qatar is taking part in a significant workshop co-hosted by the legal sector of the Arab League and the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, known as EUROJUST. The event commenced today at the headquarters of the Arab League’s General Secretariat in Cairo.

Representing Qatar is a delegation from the Ministry of Justice. The workshop, which spans two days, also sees participation from representatives of justice ministries from various Arab nations, as well as officials from the European Agency involved in criminal justice cooperation and the EU-funded CT JUST project focused on combating terrorism and strengthening justice systems.

The primary aim of the workshop is to bolster cooperation between the European Union and the Arab League across a range of fields, addressing the challenges associated with criminal justice and judicial operations.

Key topics on the workshop agenda include the role of EUROJUST in criminal justice cooperation, international legal collaboration, liaison judges, relations with third countries, joint investigation teams, and the network of Arab judicial cooperation against terrorism and organized crime.
