The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, stated that the Iranian attacks targeting Qatari territory cannot be accepted under any justification or pretext.

His remarks came during a phone call received on Saturday as part of ongoing diplomatic consultations concerning the rapidly evolving situation in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the phone conversation took place between the Qatari prime minister and the Foreign Minister of Egypt, Badr Abdelatty.

During the discussion, both officials reviewed the latest developments related to the military escalation in the region and examined the serious implications such developments could have on regional and international security and stability.

During the call, the Qatari prime minister emphasized that his country has consistently sought to distance itself from regional conflicts. He noted that Qatar has repeatedly worked to facilitate dialogue between the Iranian side and the international community as part of broader diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving disputes through peaceful means.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani also stressed the urgent need to halt any further escalation and return immediately to dialogue and negotiations.

He highlighted the importance of prioritizing reason and wisdom in dealing with the current tensions, noting that diplomatic engagement remains the most effective path toward containing the crisis and preserving stability in the region.

For his part, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty called for reducing tensions and allowing diplomacy to take the lead in addressing the situation.

He emphasized the need to return to negotiations and diplomatic channels in order to prevent further instability and chaos in the region, while encouraging all parties to pursue peaceful solutions that safeguard regional and international security.
