Practo has launched its digital healthcare services in UAE, offering online doctor appointments and reviews, enhancing healthcare access beyond geographic limitations.

Practo, an India-based digital healthcare platform, has launched its services in the UAE, allowing residents in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah to book appointments with verified doctors and access numerous patient reviews.

Among the early partners in the UAE are e-Kaya Skin Clinic, Sulaiman Habib Hospital and Clinics, Micris Dental, Smile on Dental Clinic, and Quintinha Hospitals, according to the platform.

Shashank ND, Co-founder & CEO of Practo, emphasized that in the modern world, particularly in markets like the UAE, access to quality healthcare should not be limited by geographical proximity alone.

"Our experience has shown that patient reviews are a trusted indicator for users to make informed decisions, and we are now delighted to offer this to users in the UAE," he stated.

Shashank noted that the initial response to the online access services has been overwhelmingly positive.

Practo has reported having more than 31,000 doctors, 3,000 healthcare facilities, and over 50,000 monthly users in the UAE.

Dubai, known for its emphasis on insurance-led healthcare, requires strong coverage to access services. Practo plans to integrate insurance data at both the establishment and doctor levels by the end of the month to aid patient decision-making.

This expansion follows Practo's decade-long presence in the UAE through Insta by Practo, a hospital management software that supports operations in key healthcare institutions across the region.

The new online access services are part of Practo's strategy to widen its consumer base in the Gulf market.
