The Philippines has introduced a visa-free entry policy allowing Indian tourists to visit for up to 14 days, effective June 8, 2025. Extended privileges are available for certain passport holders, offering a 30-day stay. Specific conditions apply.
The Philippines has announced that Indian nationals can now enjoy visa-free entry for tourism purposes for up to 14 days, starting June 8, 2025. This new policy is aimed at enhancing tourism and strengthening ties between the two nations.
According to the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Indian visitors must have a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay, confirmed accommodation bookings, proof of financial capability, and a return or onward ticket. These measures ensure that tourists are adequately prepared for their visit.
Visa-Free Entry Extended for Certain Indian Nationals
Indian citizens who hold valid visas or residence permits for the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Schengen countries, Singapore, or the United Kingdom can benefit from an extended visa-free stay of up to 30 days. This privilege requires similar documentation as the 14-day entry option.
The Embassy highlighted that these visa-free benefits are applicable at any port of entry within the country. Importantly, the entry periods are non-extendable and cannot be converted into other visa-based stays or status categories.
Eligibility for visa-free admission mandates that Indian nationals must not have any adverse records with the Bureau of Immigration.
The visa-free entry does not apply to Indian nationals transiting through the Philippines or those entering for long-term stays and non-tourism activities. Such travellers are required to obtain the relevant Philippine visas from an embassy or consulate in their home country or a country where Indian nationals are subject to visa requirements.
