UAE: MoHRE Launches Automated Work Permit Renewals and Cancellations
Eliminating several criteria and streamlining processes helps the UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) to make employment services more easily available and efficient. Under its "Zero Bureaucracy" program, the ministry has simplified several services to enable most procedures to be automatically processed faster.
Many procedures are now finished in a single business day, a notable improvement over the past manual and time-consuming processes since transaction times have dropped significantly.
Automation of work permit renewals is one of the main advances. now renewals used to call for in-person visits and thorough documentation, but now days MoHRE's smart app can instantly do them without any paperwork. For companies and workers alike, this shift has reduced the two-day processing time from two days down to a few minutes, therefore increasing their convenience.
By means of MoHRE's cooperation with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), this efficiency has been attained With this integration, related services including work permit cancellals for employees outside the UAE, for deceased individuals, for people with contagious diseases, and for unused permits are also quickly handled with no further documentation. The ministry has even automated the process for handling violation status, therefore cutting procedural procedures by 50 percent and lowering the necessity for documentation.
By using the data systems of other government agencies, MoHRE has been able to support these improvements; this has helped the ministry to simplify data fields and cut necessary papers by up to 76 percent. Integrating data with these agencies has helped the ministry to automate most basic services, including issuing and renewing work permits, processing employment contracts, and handling labor disputes, claims Khalil Ibrahim Al Khoori, undersecretary of labor market and Emiratization operations at MoHRE. Al Khoori emphasized the ministry's employment of artificial intelligence to hasten transactions, therefore enabling almost instantaneous completion of basic duties.
The arrival of artificial intelligence has also let MoHRE launch several fresh smart services. Employees can get job experience certificates in two minutes right now. Previously a three-day process, the electronic authorization service can now be finished in just two minutes without any necessary paperwork or in-person meetings. These developments have cut bureaucratic procedures by 80 percent, therefore facilitating free access to services and lessening of their cost.
A further component of MoHRE's modernization initiatives is a move to the Federal Network (FEDnet), a cloud infrastructure run by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority. This action improves system stability and facilitates safe agency data sharing. Apart from this change, MoHRE has introduced a powerful artificial intelligence platform meant to enhance labor market control. Comparatively to the three months it would have taken a single human, the technology, which allows automated monitoring of companies, can now perform duties in three hours including inspections and categorizing. When clients open establishment cards, AI also helps suggest suitable activities.
Expanding its capacity for inspection, MoHRE has developed a "smart inspection system" tracking hazards to the stability of the labor market. This system guarantees a proactive approach to labor market management by spotting companies that can pose hazards and giving these ones top priority for inspections. This is particularly important in cases when high-risk businesses are found since it enables the ministry to concentrate resources on guaranteeing compliance and safeguarding of workers' rights.
Reorganized under its Zero Bureaucracy project, MoHRE now offers three major packages meant to combine with other government initiatives for more complete support. For example, the "Work Bundle" bundle lets private sector companies and employees finish necessary tasks and residence requirements using the same "Work in UAE" website. Combining MoHRE services with other Dubai government agencies, another package called "Invest in Dubai" streamlines procedures for new hires and residence renewals for staff members and domestic workers. In same line, "Investor Journey - Abu Dhabi" achieves complete automation and removes paperwork for this procedure by streamlining establishment registration services in cooperation with Abu Dhabi authorities.
By means of these developments, MoHRE is promoting itself as a paradigm for effective government services. Using artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and inter-agency data integration has helped the ministry substantially cut procedural delays and simplify access to necessary services. By means of its dedication to improve the labor market infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates , MoHRE's activities not only simplify transactions for companies and employees but also help to create a more competitive and responsive job market in the UAE.
