The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has begun accepting volunteer registrations for Hajj 1446, offering diverse opportunities across various aid and support tracks.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has announced the opening of volunteer registration for the Hajj season of 1446 AH. This initiative aims to promote a culture of volunteerism and enable individuals to contribute to providing humanitarian services to pilgrims during the sacred time of Hajj.
Volunteer Opportunities Offered
The Authority has outlined four main volunteer tracks:
1. Emergency Medical Track: This allows qualified volunteers to participate in providing first aid and support during emergencies, ensuring a rapid response to incidents and rescue efforts prior to the arrival of specialized medical teams, in a bid to save lives and alleviate suffering.
2. Humanitarian Support Track: This focuses on offering emotional and logistical support to pilgrims by distributing snacks and water, as well as providing necessary guidance from their arrival at entry points until they complete their rituals.
3. Media Documentation Track: This track involves documenting the efforts of volunteer teams through photography, videography, editing, and design, highlighting the humanitarian initiatives carried out during the Hajj season.
4. Logistics Support Track: Volunteers in this track will assist teams by distributing materials and equipment, and supporting transportation and storage operations to ensure efficient implementation of fieldwork plans.
Registration Process
The Authority encourages all interested individuals to register via the official volunteer platform of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. It emphasized that this initiative provides volunteers with a unique humanitarian experience and an opportunity to enhance their practical skills, along with making a significant contribution to saving lives and serving the community.
