Red alert issued by the National Center of Meteorology (NMC) warns of expected Monday heavy rain in Jeddah between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Meteorological forecasts call for severe weather with high winds, low horizontal visibility, hailstorms, flooding, high waves, and thunderstorms.

Since the bad weather is predicted to affect numerous places over the Makkah region, authorities have advised people to take required care. Particularly recommended to keep alert by the Makkah Crisis and Disaster Management Center are drivers and beachgoers. Drivers on highways have been advised to use caution; individuals close to the seaside have been advised not to get into the sea because of the potential of strong waves. People have also been advised to stay away from places prone to floods and sites where water accumulation is most likely to happen.

Forecasts of the weather show that on Monday and Tuesday governorates all around will see moderate to strong thunderstorms. Travel and outdoor activities will be dangerous given these storms' expected accompaniment of hail, dust storms, and rough sea conditions.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the people to give safety first priority in reaction to the projections. Particularly where swimming can cause a risk, it has strongly recommended locals to stay away from valleys and flood-prone areas and to remain in safe places. Officials have underlined that flash floods might be rather dangerous, especially in places were predicted to be substantial rainfall accumulation.

Authorities have underlined the need of paying attention to safety recommendations provided on official social media platforms. To keep citizens updated about the changing weather, the Civil Defense has been aggressively publishing information and preventative instructions. To reduce the hazards related with severe weather conditions, citizens have been advised to follow following safety guidelines.

With predicted severe rainfall and hail in several towns, the Makkah area is expected to suffer most from the storms. Makkah City, Jeddah, Bahra, Al-Jumum, Rabigh, Kholais, and Al-Kamel are probably areas most likely to get the strongest downpours. Other portions of the region, including Taif, Maysan, Al-Muwayh, Turbah, Al-Khurma, Rania, Al-Laith, and Al-Qunfudah, are expected to have moderate to heavy rainfall.

Authorities remain on great alert since thunderstorms are predicted to last until Wednesday. While municipal services and transportation are keeping an eye on things to handle possible interruptions, emergency response personnel are ready to handle any flooding event.

Affected residents have been encouraged to exercise preventative actions include being indoors during the worst downpours, securing unsecured things, and avoiding needless travel. Driving over flooded roadways has been advised against by motorists since water levels could rise quickly and cause dangerous circumstances.

Apart from issues of road safety, coastal people have been advised about the hazards caused by strong waves and seas. The authorities have underlined the need of avoiding activities close to water bodies and staying away from beaches till the weather turns better.

Government agencies and emergency response teams are cooperating to guarantee public safety considering the degree of the projection. Real-time information from the Civil Defense and meteorological officials keep citizens updated about any variations in the weather patterns.
