Saudi Arabia's new policy extends expired visit visas, offering 30 extra days.

Saudi Arabia has unveiled a significant extension in its visa policy, aimed at easing travel and extending visit durations for those in the Kingdom. The General Directorate of Passports has initiated a comprehensive plan to extend the validity of all expired visit visas, applicable across various types and categories for individuals planning final exits.

This initiative, which will come into effect on Muharram 1, 1447 AH, aligning with June 26, 2025, will allow for a 30-day extension period. This extension is, however, conditional upon the completion of required payments, including any applicable fees or penalties, as part of the regulatory compliance.

Guidelines for the Visa Extension

The Directorate advises that applications for visa extensions can be submitted through the "Tawasul Service" available on the Ministry of Interior’s Absher electronic platform. This service is accessible within the designated extension period, providing a streamlined process for applicants.

Authorities are urging all eligible visitors to utilize this opportunity before the window closes, ensuring a smooth transition either for their extended stay or their preparation for final departure.
