Sharjah Police announces procedures for obtaining ownership of a replacement for a damaged vehicle
To help the dealers finish the process, Sharjah Police has established the steps for acquiring ownership of a damaged car allowance through the Ministry of Interior MoI UAE application.
The Ministry of Interior's electronic application requires the user to enter their username and password, click the "services Menu" link, and choose the "issuing ownership of a damaged vehicle allowance" service, as stated by the police on their Instagram page.
It was mentioned that following that, the user chooses the license plate number and provides an address to transfer ownership of the new car, which is delivered in three business days.
Service cost
It was mentioned that the service would cost AED 315 in total (AED 300 for the service plus AED 15 for delivery fees), and that the electronic payment process would need to be finished using the ministry's digital platform.
Four ways to receive the service
The Ministry of Interior, for its part, announced on its official website that there are four ways to receive the service: through Customer Happiness Centers, where you can visit a service delivery employee at a ministry-affiliated center; online, where you can access the ministry's website, attach requirements, and pay fees; and through the Ministry of Interior's smart application, where you can enter the ministry's application, attach requirements, and pay fees.
The ministry made clear that in order to complete the service, the Emirates ID must be submitted.
