Parkin Launches New Parking Rates in the emirates

(In UAE Time)
Parkin Launches

The Parkin Company has declared that additional parking fees will be applied to cars in Dubai, particularly in zones designated with the codes W and WP. Al Qusais 1, Al Karama, Dubai Maritime City, and Al Kifaf are among the locations for which these codes have been assigned.

According to Parkin, zone W232 is part of the Al Qusais 1 region, while Dubai Maritime City is categorized as W321, Al Karama as W318, and Al Kifaf as W324.

Parking costs in designated areas

According to Parkin, parking costs in areas designated with the WP code are AED 6 per hour during peak hours (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM), and AED 4 per hour during off-peak hours.  Zones designated with the W code, on the other hand, always have a set rate of AED 4 per hour.  On Sundays and public holidays, parking is still free.

On April 4, the business started putting the flexible pricing structure for regular rates during peak and off-peak hours in Dubai and premium parking into effect.  This is a component of its continuous endeavors to alleviate traffic and improve the parking experience.

Al Nahda 1, Al Nahda 2, Al Qusais, Al Mamzar, Abu Hail, Al Rashidiya, Nad Al Hamar, and Al Quoz areas 1, 3, and 4 are regular parking zones in Dubai, according to Parkin.  Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Naif, Al Fahidi, Al Wasl, Sheikh Zayed Road (the main route from the Dubai World Trade Center to Umm Al Sheif), Jumeirah (the main road), and Al Barsha 1 are among the premium zones that are subject to the flexible tariff system.

Premium Parking Areas

According to Parkin, premium parking zones are open spaces found close to public transportation hubs and in residential or business areas with a high population density.  The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has designated these areas, which have been carefully chosen to offer accessible and convenient parking alternatives.

High-end parking spaces will be judiciously placed to guarantee convenient access to areas of high demand, particularly those with significant shopping malls or high traffic volumes.  Parking payment devices will display pricing information and designated signage to properly identify these zones.  Parkin's website, smartphone app, and social media accounts all provide further details.

Additionally, as shown on parking signage, Parkin has just begun revising the codes for Dubai's public paid parking zones.  While some zones have changed, others will continue to use their current codes.

According to Parkin's website and digital platforms, some regions that were previously classified under the codes "A," "B," "C," and "D" have been changed to "AP," "BP," "CP," and "DP."

Since the revised codes are prominently visible on public parking signs, the business advised users to double-check them before parking.  Parkin's website and smart application both offer updates.

Additionally, Parkin noted that automatic payment alternatives can help users avoid waiting.  By adding money to a digital wallet and turning on automatic payment, parking costs can be paid with it.  In order to prevent being charged more than once, users are prompted to deactivate this option after getting back to their cars.  By assisting users in remembering to pay for parking, this function helps users avoid fines.
