March 2025 salary disbursement date in the United Arab Emirates

Through the wage protection system, private sector employers are accountable for paying their workers' salaries in whole and on time in order to prevent infractions and penalties.
Conversely, the United Arab Emirates aims to assist its people through initiatives that improve their standard of living and bring about stability in their lives. The Nafis program is one of these programs, which offers beneficiaries consistent financial assistance based on predetermined standards.  In order to learn the timetable and responsibilities of receiving this government assistance, beneficiaries anticipate paying salary at the end of each month.

When should the wage be paid by the employer?

All businesses that are registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization are required to use the ministry-approved wage protection system to pay their employees' wages on time.

Beginning on the first day of the month after the end of the period for which the employee's compensation is specified in the employment contract, the employee's compensation is accumulated.  Wages must be paid to the employee at least once a month if the employment contract does not specify the term.

Unless the employment contract specifies a shorter term, the employer is deemed to be in arrears if he fails to pay wages within the first 15 days after the due date.

The minimum wage

Although the federal Labor Code does not provide a minimum wage, it does contain general guidelines that explain why wages are necessary to cover workers' essential expenses.
