Coming Soon: Launch of the Unified Gulf Tourist Visa

The Gulf Cooperation Council is close to launching a unified Gulf tourist visa, following sustained efforts by passport departments in the GCC states.
Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), announced the imminent issuance of a unified Gulf tourist visa. He explained that the passport departments of the GCC's Ministries of Interior are working diligently to launch this project. Continuous technical meetings are currently being held to achieve this goal. This announcement came during Al-Budaiwi's meeting with participants in the 39th meeting of the GCC's Directors-General of Passports, held on Wednesday at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. The Secretary-General was also presented with the agenda, which included the Gulf tourist visa project, in addition to a review of the latest developments reached during the technical meetings related to the project. Al-Budaiwi praised the efforts of the member states to enhance cooperation and coordination in the field of passports, exchange expertise to achieve common security, and facilitate movement between the GCC states, in line with the aspirations of the Gulf leaders and peoples. Al-Budaiwi emphasized that all parties are working as a team to adapt to technological developments and security requirements in a rapidly changing world.
