At Least Five Killed in School Shooting in Graz

In a tragic turn of events in the Austrian city of Graz, at least five individuals lost their lives during a school shooting on Tuesday. Several others, including both students and teachers, have been injured, according to reports from the state broadcaster ORF citing local sources.

The authorities have identified the suspected shooter, believed to be a student, who reportedly took his own life following the incident.

A police operation is currently underway at Dreierschuetzengasse street, where the affected secondary school is located. However, law enforcement officials have refrained from providing further details at this time.

Graz Police spokesperson, Sabri Yorgun, confirmed that special forces were dispatched to the scene after they received an emergency call at 10 am. Authorities are actively working to piece together the sequence of events.
