The UAE announces a digital platform to monitor weather conditions and natural disasters

In order to strengthen efforts to raise awareness among citizens living abroad and take the necessary preventive measures in the event of natural or climate-hazardous disasters to ensure their safety and security.

the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Center for Meteorology announced the launch of a digital platform for monitoring weather conditions and natural disasters. The two parties also signed a partnership and cooperation agreement in this regard.

The signing of the agreement is the first step toward further cooperation between the two sides, highlighting the UAE's commitment to improving security and public safety through the use of contemporary technology and reliable data to improve crisis management and natural disaster response.

Early warning platform for everyone

The "early warning for all" platform was launched, which is a joint platform between the two entities specializing in monitoring and warning of weather conditions and natural disasters, with the goal of exchanging information and data to ensure a quick and effective response in emergency situations, identifying potential risks, and developing comprehensive response plans.

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Faisal Issa Lotfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs, and the National Meteorological Center, Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Al-Mandous, President of the World Meteorological Organization, the agreement for cooperation was signed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' personnel are working around the clock to safeguard the safety of UAE citizens overseas, streamline procedures, and assist in emergency and crisis circumstances.This collaboration offers a model of ongoing coordination and cooperation between the ministry and other relevant agencies inside and outside the country to monitor developments in the situation, with citizen protection being a priority for prudent leadership.
