The Ithra Employment Exhibition in Al Ain showcases over 300 job opportunities in finance and banking, aiming to empower local youth.
On Wednesday, the seventh edition of the Ithra Employment Exhibition was inaugurated in Al Ain. This event was organized by the Emirates Institute of Finance, the Emirati Competitiveness Council, the Central Bank of the UAE, the Government Empowerment Department, Abu Dhabi Councils, and the Higher Colleges of Technology in collaboration with relevant partners.
The exhibition, held at the Al-Ashkhar Council, attracted numerous job seekers from the city, presenting them with a unique opportunity to explore over 300 available positions across various financial and banking sectors.
Amina Al-Suwaidi, Director of Communication and Corporate Relations at the Emirati Competitiveness Council, emphasized that the event's primary aim is to create job opportunities specifically in the banking sector for the youth of Al Ain. She noted that the exhibition offers an interactive platform featuring immediate job interviews between financial and banking sector partners and qualified candidates, thus accelerating the recruitment process while ensuring transparency. Moreover, specialized workshops and internationally recognized training programs are included to equip job seekers with the necessary skills to meet industry demands.
Safiya Al-Shuhhi, Marketing and Communication Manager at the Emirates Institute of Finance, described the exhibition as a unique opportunity and a significant boost towards the ambitious goal of employing over 1,700 local residents in the banking sector by 2026.
She added, "We observed a strong turnout, with approximately 600 visitors so far, and we expect the total number to exceed 2,000 by the end of the day, reflecting the interest of Al Ain's youth in pursuing careers in this vital sector."
Additionally, she pointed out that the exhibition offers added value beyond direct employment, featuring around 200 free training opportunities that provide internationally recognized certificates in collaboration with the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies, aimed at honing the skills of national workforce candidates.
The opportunities available primarily target high school graduates as well as university degree holders in specializations required by the financial and banking sectors.
