The General Directorate of "Saudi Passports" (Jawazat) has launched a comprehensive relief package for international visitors whose visas expired on or after February 25, 2026, and who were unable to depart the Kingdom due to the current regional situation. T

his exceptional measure covers all visa categories—including Visit, Umrah, Transit, and Final Exit—reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating the stay and departure of guests during unforeseen circumstances.

In a related context, the Directorate confirmed that eligible beneficiaries wishing to return to their home countries can proceed directly to any departure port.

"Saudi Passports" has streamlined the process to be entirely fee-free for direct departures, requiring no prior administrative measures or additional payments at the border.

However, authorities emphasized that this grace period is time-bound, remaining valid until April 18, 2026 (1 Dhul-Qa'dah 1447 AH), urging all individuals to finalize their travel arrangements before this deadline to remain compliant with local regulations.

For their part, hosts within the Kingdom who wish to extend their visitors’ stay rather than facilitate their departure can utilize the "Absher" platform.

"Saudi Passports" explained that this service is accessible by logging into the host’s Absher account, navigating to "My Services," then "Passports," and selecting the "Twasul" feature.

Through this portal, hosts can submit a formal request, attach the necessary documentation, and specify the required department to ensure the visitor’s legal status remains secure without the need for an in-person visit.

The authorities explained that these proactive steps are designed to provide clarity and mitigate the impact of regional travel disruptions on the expatriate and tourist communities.

We advise all stakeholders to act promptly within the announced timeframe.

Saudi Passports" continues to prioritize digital solutions to enhance the user experience, ensuring that all visa-related procedures are handled with the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
