Blending striking geometry with a disciplined architectural approach, Nikken Sekkei has revealed its design for the 350-metre Trump Tower Dubai, commissioned by Dar Global.

Drawing inspiration from Manhattan’s assertive skyline and the refined craftsmanship of Japan, the firm’s Dubai studio-active in the region for more than three decades-aims to deliver a structure that is both internationally ambitious and deeply attuned to local culture.

Nikken Sekkei’s imprint can already be seen throughout the Middle East. Their portfolio includes notable projects such as One Za’abeel in Dubai and Tadawul Tower in Riyadh, further cementing their reputation for complex and high-profile developments.

Commenting on the new project, Dr Fadi Jabri, CEO of Nikken Sekkei Dubai, said: “Trump Tower Dubai blends bold geometry with crafted detail to create a landmark that is both visually striking and functionally refined. The design draws on the confident forms of Manhattan and the architectural discipline of Japan, reflecting our commitment to proportion, restraint and long-term value. We are proud to set a new benchmark for how global design intelligence can shape the future of high-rise luxury in the region, elevating branded living through clarity, precision and cultural relevance.”

Japanese Expertise Shapes Landmark Tower

The building’s exterior will feature a graffiti grey finish complemented by rounded corners and gold accents-a combination designed to enhance its sense of luxury. Echoes of New York’s original Trump Tower appear through distinctive zigzag motifs along the façade. Above it all, an open crown unfurls into tiered indoor and outdoor spaces overlooking Dubai’s cityscape.

Inside Trump Tower Dubai awaits The Trump Club-reserved exclusively for residents-which includes amenities such as a spa, infinity pool, cigar lounge, fine dining venues and dedicated leisure zones. Each element reflects Nikken Sekkei’s philosophy that intentional design creates urban environments defined by comfort, privacy and prestige.

The tower integrates practical features as well; parking is concealed behind vertical louvers preserving clean exterior lines. A connected multi-level car park also incorporates facilities like a gymnasium, children’s play area and observation deck.

A company statement underscored that "the project is shaped by Japanese design principles-restraint, proportion and long-term thinking." Material choices emphasize texture and durability; lighting shapes rather than embellishes space; overall form aims to complement rather than overshadow its surroundings.

Beyond architectural ambition, Trump Tower Dubai aligns with wider regional aspirations while navigating climate realities and community needs. It reflects Nikken Sekkei's pledge toward enduring value-not just visual drama but sustainable luxury grounded in context.

Nikken Sekkei itself stands as one of architecture's veteran collectives: more than 120 years old globally with over 3,100 professionals spread across eleven offices worldwide-the team continues crafting spaces where elegance endures across generations.
