Beginning on Monday, February 17th, Parken will begin charging a new price of AED 25 per hour for parking automobiles in Dubai during event periods but only during those special times.

It was informed by "Parken" through its pages on social networking sites that this choice will assist to making traffic smoother and will also provide parking for automobiles to park in a comfortable manner near the event venues.

Implementation of new fees

When planning their journey to the event regions, the company strongly encouraged drivers to take public transportation.

As a first step, she mentioned the implementation of the new fees in the vicinity of the Dubai World Trade Center during the periods of the event.

Implementation times for the new fees

During morning peak times from eight to ten o'clock and evening peak times from four to eight o'clock, the value of the tariff in premium parking will be six dirhams per hour, and the rest of the public parking that is subject to fees will be four dirhams. This policy and the flexible parking tariff policy will be activated at the end of the month of March in the following year.

Outside of peak times, which are from ten in the morning to four in the evening and from eight in the evening to ten in the evening, the tariff will remain the same without any changes. Parking will be free during the night period, from ten in the evening to eight in the morning, and it will be free on Sundays.
