Under the patronage of Sheikh Diab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs' Affairs, and President of the Arab Youth Center, the center announced yesterday the launch of the seventh edition of the "Young Arab Media Leaders" program.

This initiative is one of the largest training programs for young media professionals in the region, aiming to refine the skills of Arab youth in the media field and connect them with opportunities. This year, 55 young participants from 18 Arab countries will take part in the program.
Sheikh Diab emphasized that the UAE continues, under the wise leadership of its rulers, to invest in promising talents across various sectors, particularly in media. He pointed out the significance of supporting and training young people through specialized programs that empower them to excel and innovate solutions that benefit their communities.
He added that the UAE has become, thanks to its motivating environment, a regional and international media hub and a destination for exceptional talent. He commended the role of young media professionals in presenting a positive image that reflects the authenticity of Arab cultural identity, as well as fostering messages of tolerance and communication among nations.
Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al-Niyaidi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Arab Youth Center, noted that the current edition chose "Community Media" as its main theme, highlighting its role in shaping societal awareness and the responsibility it bears in influencing people's lives. He remarked that young people are the cornerstone and driving force behind the development and strengthening of communities, as well as their connection to language and identity. He noted that the program has consistently provided an opportunity to connect young professionals at a crucial stage in their careers with the realities of the media job market, helping them acquire skills from experts and learn from the experiences of decision-makers. He expressed pride in the hundreds of alumni now contributing to various media institutions and platforms worldwide, making this annual event a vital opportunity to link young talent with prospects aligned with the comprehensive vision of the Arab Youth Center to empower and build the capabilities of youth, the region's most crucial resource.
This year's program will feature a comprehensive array of specialized courses, workshops, field visits to prominent media institutions, and several conferences and events. Moreover, it facilitates opportunities for participants to interact with influential media figures and leaders across the media sector.
Intensive courses will focus on digital media skills, content creation, developmental media, and topics related to artificial intelligence and its impact on the future of media.
The program's current version emphasizes the community role of media and the importance of harnessing its tools to support social and humanitarian initiatives, share stories that inspire hope and make an impact, and strengthen youth efforts in serving their communities.
The program is supported by partnerships with a select group of media and academic partners working alongside the center to train and prepare 55 young individuals, opening up opportunities for them.
