India has ordered all Pakistani nationals to leave its territory by April 29 due to a recent terrorist attack in Kashmir.

Following a recent terrorist assault in the disputed area of Kashmir, Indian officials on Thursday ordered all Pakistani nationals to leave the country by April 29, 2023. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that, following the Pahalgam assault, the government has chosen to immediately halt visa services for Pakistani nationals. It further said that current valid visas granted to Pakistanis would be cancelled beginning April 27, 2025. The government emphasized again that medical visas given to Pakistani nationals will stay valid just until April 29, 2025.
While urging those already in Pakistan to come back as quick as possible, the Indian government asked all Pakistanis now in India to leave before their visas expire and strongly cautioned Indian nationals from visiting Pakistan.
One of the deadliest attacks in the disputed Kashmir area, the recent shooting event at the Pahalgam tourist resort has caused notable civilian deaths.
India has charged Islamabad with aiding "cross-border terrorism" and has reacted with various actions including suspending a major water-sharing agreement, closing the main land border crossing between the two nations, and lowering diplomatic personnel strength. But Pakistan has rejected any participation in the Pahalgam assault.
