The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation calls on private sector companies to expedite their efforts in achieving 2025 nationalization targets by December 31, 2024, to avoid financial penalties starting January 1, 2026.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has issued a call to private sector companies subject to Emiratisation policies, urging them to swiftly meet the objectives set for the year 2025 before December 31 of this year. This proactive measure aims to avert financial contributions that will be enforced from January 1, 2026, on companies failing to achieve the required levels of national employment.

The nationalization targets apply to companies with a workforce of at least 50 employees. These companies are expected to ensure a growth of 2% in skilled job localizations by the end of this year. The same deadline applies to selected establishments employing between 20 and 49 workers in rapidly growing economic sectors capable of providing suitable jobs and work environments. Such establishments must employ at least one UAE citizen while retaining citizens already employed prior to January 1, 2025.

The ministry praised the private sector's adherence to Emiratisation policies and goals since their implementation. This compliance reflects the private sector's awareness of its national and social responsibilities and its active role in supporting the national economy and empowering citizens within the labor market.

In a press statement, the ministry urged companies involved with Emiratisation policies to leverage the "Nafis" program platform for connecting with job-seeking citizens across various specializations, thereby supporting their commitments towards achieving localization targets.

The ministry highlighted its efficient regulatory framework designed to detect negative practices such as false localization and attempts at circumventing Emiratisation objectives-particularly through enhanced systems incorporating artificial intelligence tools. Legal measures against non-compliant firms include downgrading their classification within the ministry’s establishment rating system and requiring corrective actions.

Citizens are encouraged to report any violations or adverse incidents contradicting state localization policies via contact center number 600590000 or through the smart app and website of the ministry, which assures high standards of privacy and responsiveness.

The ministry reaffirmed its ongoing support for compliant companies through benefits offered by the Nafis program. It also enhances competitive advantages for businesses achieving exceptional nationalization outcomes by including them in the Partner Club initiative. Members benefit from up to an 80% discount on services fees from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, as well as priority access in government procurement systems-thus facilitating business growth opportunities amid rapid labor market developments across diverse fields.
