As millions of worshippers prepare to travel between Makkah and Madinah, Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has unveiled a detailed plan to enhance the railway's capacity and increase its daily trips. Expanding Capacity and Frequency

To meet the anticipated increase in travelers, SAR's plan includes operating over 3,662 trips throughout the month. This ambitious schedule offers more than 1.7 million seats, a clear indication of the railway's commitment to facilitating smooth and efficient travel for Umrah performers and visitors. The daily trips, set to exceed 100, are carefully aligned with prayer times and the movement patterns of pilgrims, ensuring convenience and flexibility.

Spanning a distance of 453 kilometers, it also links Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City. With trains capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour, the Haramain High-Speed Railway stands out as one of the fastest passenger train services globally.
