The United Arab Emirates' Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security has announced the second phase of its new family residency program, "Zero Bureaucracy," which aims to streamline and consolidate all services related to residency for families living in the country. This program is designed to accommodate expatriates living in the UAE.

Through this new program, the Authority aims to provide a significantly streamlined and integrated service journey, enabling residents to complete all their residency procedures through a single application, rather than submitting separate applications for each family member.

The initiative's major features include one-entry information and document submissions, as well as a single, uniform charge for all family members. This streamlined digital process attempts to improve the client experience by reducing repetitive stages and combining all operations into a single, unified service. 

According to the authority, this program will transform how families manage their residency needs by providing a streamlined and user-friendly digital experience, resulting in speedier processing and much less administrative labor.

The program is supposed to make it easier for new residents to renew their residence by creating a uniform digital family file that can be utilized without having to re-upload the same papers. It will also speed up approvals because the family file is handled as a unified entity, lowering the risk of rejection due to missing documentation for individual members. 

Other expected advantages of the new system include flexible payment choices across many platforms, as well as the opportunity to combine medical examination and health insurance visits for the entire family in one step. This will improve procedural integration while saving substantial time and effort.

The authority underlined that this move is part of a larger trend of changing residence and citizenship services into a totally digital trip that involves fewer stages and simpler criteria. This will enhance service quality and give residents with a more smooth and convenient experience. 

The "Resident Family" initiative is an important step in the fast expansion of UAE government services. It is intended to save thousands of resident families time and effort each year, paving the path for a more integrated and automated residency file management system.
