Dubai achieved a remarkable milestone in the global ranking by recording a perfect satisfaction score of one hundred percent in the city cleanliness indicator within the environmental pillar which is one of the key categories used by the Global Power City Index to evaluate major international cities Through this performance Dubai outperformed more than forty seven major cities and global capitals The Global Power City Index is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive international benchmarks measuring urban competitiveness through six major urban functions including quality of life environment economy research and development cultural interaction and accessibility The index relies on more than seventy global indicators which collectively assess how effectively cities perform across multiple dimensions of urban development.
This global recognition reflects the continuous efforts led by Dubai Municipality to enhance the urban and environmental landscape across the emirate while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global city in sustainable urban planning The municipality has implemented advanced municipal management strategies supported by integrated urban planning and efficient operations aimed at improving public spaces parks beaches and infrastructure while maintaining a comprehensive city cleanliness system that enhances the overall urban appearance and supports long term environmental sustainability These initiatives ensure that Dubai remains a healthy attractive and well maintained environment for its residents visitors and businesses.
