The Emirates Congenital Heart Disease Association collaborates with Ester hospitals to offer free medical screenings for students under a national campaign targeting one million children.

DUBAI: The Emirates Congenital Heart Disease Association has signed a collaboration agreement with the "Ester" hospitals, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at providing free medical services, particularly for students. This initiative is part of the national campaign for congenital heart diseases, titled "Prevention and Protection," which the association has adopted and intends to extend through partnerships with several specialized medical institutions.
The agreement outlines the involvement of doctors from "Ester" hospitals who will participate in executing the campaign, as well as providing the association with necessary equipment and mobile medical units. These resources will facilitate the screening of school students throughout the UAE, with the campaign slated to run until 2030.
The signing event was attended by Horya Al Merri, Chairwoman of the association, Dr. Abdullah Al Jaadi, the association's advisor, Salem Al Shamsi, Director of Communication and Institutional Marketing, Jaleel Bi Ayy, Director of Community Responsibility at "Ester" hospital, along with a group of doctors and administrative staff, particularly specialists from the pediatric cardiology department.
Horya Al Merri commended the community efforts of "Ester" hospitals, stating that the campaign aims to conduct medical screenings for approximately one million students across all public, private, and community schools to identify any congenital heart defects. Jaleel Bi Ayy emphasized the importance of the association's role in the community, especially focusing on children, who are the future, praising the launch of this vital initiative.
