A representative for flydubai confirmed to Khaleej Times on Thursday that flights from Dubai to Iran, Iraq, Israel, and Jordan will resume tomorrow, Friday, October 4.

"We are closely monitoring the situation and will adjust our flight schedule if necessary," a representative said. She continued: "flydubai operates within the flight routes approved by the regulator and the safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority."

Emirates, Dubai's national airline, has suspended all scheduled flights to and from Iraq (Basra and Baghdad), Iran (Tehran), and Jordan (Amman) until October 5 owing to regional turmoil.

Emirate stated that "customers transiting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq, Iran and Jordan will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice."

"Affected customers should contact their booking agents for alternative travel options or contact us if they booked with Emirates directly," according to the carrier.

Emirates said that affected clients should contact their booking agents for alternate travel choices, or contact us if they booked directly with Emirates. Customers are also encouraged to check their contact information by visiting Manage Booking for updates.

She concluded: We continue to constantly watch the situation in Lebanon and communicate with the appropriate authorities about developments.

According to Lebanese authorities, all international airlines have cancelled flights to Lebanon with the exception of Iranian and Iraqi airlines.

Air France has announced an extension of the suspension of flights to and from Beirut.

A corporate source said that flydubai is actively monitoring the situation and is ready to change the flight itinerary if necessary.

The source further stated that the firm only operates on routes approved by the regulatory authority, emphasizing that the safety of passengers and crew is flydubai's first priority.
