The UAE announces June 6, 2025, as the first day of Eid al-Adha.
The Presidential Court has announced the official sighting of the Dhu al-Hijjah crescent moon. As a result, tomorrow, Wednesday, will mark the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH, which corresponds with May 28, 2025. Consequently, Friday, June 6, 2025, will be the first day of Eid al-Adha.

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
The Presidential Court announces, based on the decision of the 'Committee for the Sighting of the Dhu al-Hijjah Moon for the Year 1446 AH,' which is formed by the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa. The committee convened this evening at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on the 29th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1446 AH, corresponding to May 27, 2025. After reviewing the reports and results of the moon sighting across the nation, the committee confirms the Sharia sighting of the crescent moon this evening.
Thus, tomorrow, Wednesday, is the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH, and Friday, the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to June 6, 2025, will be the first day of Eid al-Adha.
