The United Arab Emirates will mark the Eid Al Etihad holiday with a noticeable shift towards milder weather, featuring cooler early mornings between November 29 and December 3. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that the country can expect generally mild daytime temperatures throughout this period, along with partly cloudy skies. Cloud cover is anticipated to increase at intervals, especially across northern areas, coastal zones, and the islands, leading to chances of scattered and intermittent showers.

According to recent updates from the NCM, current atmospheric conditions are being shaped by an extension of a surface low-pressure system working in tandem with a weak upper-air trough. This combination encourages cloud formation and introduces fluctuations in wind patterns. These changing conditions are detailed in a report by WAM.

Humidity is forecasted to rise during nights and early mornings over the holiday span. This heightened humidity could result in patches of light fog or mist forming over inland regions. Winds are expected to gradually transition from southeasterly to northwesterly directions; they will remain light to moderate overall but could become stronger during periods of cloud build-up. Sea states are predicted to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, while remaining slight in the Gulf of Oman.

During this festive break, maximum temperatures are projected as follows: 24–28°C for coastal and island areas; 26–30°C across internal regions; and 12–20°C in mountainous districts. Meanwhile, minimum nighttime temperatures should range from 16–24°C along coasts and islands, 12–16°C inland, and dip as low as 8–15°C in mountain locales.

Saturday Forecast: Patchy Clouds with Increased Humidity

Poor Visibility Possible Overnight

The weather pattern on Saturday is expected to stay partly cloudy to cloudy overall-particularly impacting islands, coastal strips, and internal parts of the UAE. Some locations may experience brief periods of light rainfall as clouds gather overhead. The NCM warns that humidity will climb sharply overnight into Sunday morning, raising the likelihood of fog or mist developing-especially over interior regions where visibility may be temporarily reduced.

Winds will mostly remain gentle but could strengthen at times when cloud development peaks; this might also result in blowing dust within exposed landscapes. Coastal waters are predicted to maintain slight-to-moderate conditions both in the Arabian Gulf and remain slight within the Sea of Oman.

The temperature ranges for Saturday include:

  • Coastal & island areas: Highs between 26–30°C; lows from 17–23°C
  • Internal regions: Highs reaching 27–31°C; lows dropping to 9–15°C
  • Mountain areas: Maximums from 17–23°C; minimums between 9–14°C

Four-Day Weather Outlook: Mild Conditions Continue

Sunday, November 30

The country’s forecast calls for fair to partly cloudy skies on Sunday-with low clouds likely gathering over western and coastal zones-which could give rise to occasional light rain. A fresh spike in nighttime humidity once again brings prospects for early morning mist formation. Wind directions should alternate from southeasterly through northwesterly at speeds between 10–25 km/h (peaking at up to 35 km/h). Both Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea waters are set to remain slight.

Monday, December 1

Meteorological conditions remain largely unchanged on Monday-fair-to-partly-cloudy weather persists with continued low cloud buildup near coastlines and islands. Another round of high overnight humidity may spur further fog or mist formation inland. Winds will continue shifting between southeasterly and northwesterly flows with occasional strengthening.

Tuesday, December 2

A similar outlook prevails on Tuesday as partly cloudy conditions persist-low clouds could develop over western locales alongside a modest rise in temperature. Mist patches might recur late overnight extending into Wednesday morning. Winds will mainly oscillate between southeasterly and northeasterly at speeds around 10–25 km/h (occasionally up to 35 km/h), with seas staying relatively calm.

Wednesday, December 3

The midweek forecast continues with partly cloudy skies; low clouds may appear above coastal stretches and islands yet again. Persistent high nighttime humidity creates ongoing opportunities for Thursday morning mist development inland. Winds should rotate between southeasterly and northeasterly bearings ranging from about 10–20 km/h-at times gusting up toward 30 km/h.
