The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has achieved a remarkable milestone, winning an international award in the category of "Best Government Entity in Corporate Governance - Public Sector 2025" from the esteemed Global Banking & Finance Review magazine. This accolade marks the directorate as the first governmental body in the Middle East to receive such recognition, affirming Dubai's standing as a global hub for corporate governance excellence.
This triumph exemplifies Dubai's proactive approach to enhancing its institutional framework, aligning with the emirate's vision for innovation and excellence in government operations.
A Unique Model
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, expressed his pride in this achievement by saying: "We dedicate this honor to our wise leadership that has provided us with vision and support. We reaffirm our commitment to continuously enhance our corporate governance system to bolster Dubai’s position as a unique model in administration and integrity worldwide."
Dr. Hanan Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Director of Corporate Governance and Compliance Management, emphasized that this victory is the result of institutional work and team efforts.
