In line with the vision of Dubai’s leadership to strengthen the role of education and honor teachers as builders of the future, and in celebration of World Teachers’ Day, observed annually on October 5, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, has directed the granting of Golden Visas to more than 200 distinguished teachers and educators working across early childhood centers, schools, and international universities in the emirate.

His Highness emphasized that teachers and educators are the cornerstone of Dubai’s development journey, serving as role models and sources of hope who empower future generations with knowledge, creativity, and innovation. “Investing in teachers is investing in the future,” Sheikh Hamdan said, adding that their dedication and contributions form the foundation for achieving Dubai’s ambitions across key sectors. He also noted that honoring exceptional educators reflects Dubai’s belief in the value of human excellence, both morally and academically, reaffirming that schools will remain the foundation for shaping the emirate’s future.

This initiative comes under the umbrella of the “Golden Visa for Outstanding Educators in Dubai’s Private Education Sector”, which recognizes the pivotal contributions of educators to the emirate’s educational advancement and supports the goals of the Dubai Education Strategy 2033. The strategy focuses on empowering inspiring teachers who play a crucial role in enhancing students’ learning experiences and Dubai’s global competitiveness in education.

According to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the first phase of the initiative received 435 applications, out of which 223 educators (51%) were granted the Golden Visa. The selection process was based on comprehensive professional evaluations ensuring fairness and transparency, taking into account academic qualifications, achievements, community impact, and positive feedback from students and parents.

Among the 223 recipients, 157 work in schools, 60 in universities, and 6 in early childhood centers, representing various roles such as school leaders, social counselors, and librarians.

Educators interested in applying can submit their applications between October 15 and December 15, 2025, through the official KHDA website, where they can review eligibility criteria and the application process.
