The Dubai Police continue to excel in sports excellence domestically and internationally through strategic initiatives fostering athletic prowess amongst their members.

The achievements of the Dubai Police Sports Excellence Center have highlighted the ongoing success of its members across various local, international, and police championships. This success reflects the significant emphasis placed by the Dubai Police General Command on sports as a vital pillar for supporting both physical and mental fitness among its personnel, reinforcing the belief that "an outstanding athlete is an outstanding security officer."

Additionally, they partook in events hosted by various police sports federations and national sports councils.

Internationally, Dubai Police personnel extended their achievements to multiple continents. They attained top positions in global tournaments across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. The athletes collected several medals in shooting sports, jujitsu, karate, cycling races, running competitions, tactical challenges, and rescue challenges-showcasing their readiness and competence while representing the UAE commendably on world stages.

On a policing level, the center marked its presence in 34 national police championships and participated internationally in 29 contests involving 349 athletes from different departments and police stations.

The culmination of these efforts was Dubai Police winning the Golden Shield for Sporting Excellence in 2024 while maintaining their high-ranking titles for 2022 and 2023-a testament to their distinguished sports system within this security institution.

Colonel Abdulbasit Ali Abdul Rahman, Director of the Dubai Police Sports Excellence Center expressed that these accomplishments are a product of a well-defined strategy set by Dubai’s general command aimed at sustaining athletic performance levels and enhancing physical preparedness through specialized training programs. Strategic partnerships were formed with both local and global sporting bodies like the Police Sports Federation alongside other regional sporting authorities. Memorandums of understanding were also signed with international entities such as the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), World Karate Federation (WKF), International Obstacle Racing Federation (IORF), and others to elevate coaches' performance through globally recognized best practices.

He emphasized that these outcomes underscore Dubai Police’s commitment to investing in human resources while nurturing sporting talents among both genders to achieve optimal performance levels. The center operates under a clear vision focusing on grooming professional athletes endowed with high physical readiness aligning with leadership aspirations towards developing cadres capable of excelling both on field operations as well as professionally.
