Dubai Police introduces three new luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles to enhance its tourism patrol fleet, celebrating World Tourism Day with a focus on sustainable and advanced technology.
In a move that aligns with the global observance of World Tourism Day, celebrated annually on September 27, Dubai Police has expanded its Tourism Police Department's fleet by adding three high-end Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
The General Department of Criminal Investigation’s Tourism Police Department was delighted to receive the latest additions: the Mercedes SL 55 AMG, the Mercedes GT 63 AMG, and the electric model, Mercedes EQS 580. The occasion was marked by an official ceremony.
Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, presided over the introduction of these state-of-the-art vehicles. The event saw participation from notable figures including Colonel Omar Al Mutawa, Deputy Director for Administration Affairs at the General Department of Criminal Investigation; Lt. Colonel Muhammad Abdulrahman, Director of Tourism Police; as well as representatives from Mercedes-Benz such as Thomas Schulz and Mr Ali Gargash.
These luxury cars are not just visually impressive but also technologically advanced. They come equipped with sustainable transport mechanisms and cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems that include interactive displays offering real-time data to drivers for optimized handling and performance.
Brigadier Al Hajri emphasized this initiative’s role in boosting police visibility at major tourist hotspots like Burj Khalifa and Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. "The acquisition underscores our commitment to enhancing our fleet continuously," he remarked while acknowledging the collaboration with Gargash Enterprises, a key partner in this venture.
Thomas Schulz echoed this sentiment by highlighting their pride in partnering with Dubai Police to introduce these modern mobility solutions. "This initiative is a testament to our joint effort in promoting sustainability," he noted.
The event concluded ceremoniously with Brigadier Al Hajri and Schulz exchanging commemorative shields-symbols of their ongoing partnership.
