Dubai Police have rolled out an elaborate security plan involving 250 patrol units around schools for the new academic year. The initiative includes drones for traffic monitoring along with engaging student programs aiming at increasing safety awareness.
In a concerted effort to enhance school safety, Dubai Police have unveiled an extensive plan, deploying 250 security and traffic patrols around educational institutions. This initiative marks the new academic year of 2025-2026 under the aegis of the 'School Security' program. Wishing students, teachers, administrative staff, and parents a successful year ahead, this comprehensive strategy aims at ensuring a secure environment for all.
The plan incorporates not only patrol vehicles but also nine drones to monitor traffic flow and key sites. Additionally, six luxury patrol cars, four mounted police units, and 60 bicycles will be employed to bolster field presence. To further engage with students directly, 300 participants from the Safe Ambassadors program will be active alongside 28 awareness initiatives conducted in collaboration with 15 educational partners. Moreover, around 750 police personnel will directly interact with students throughout the process.
This announcement was made during a press conference held at the Dubai Police Officers Club. Key attendees included Brigadier Nasser Al Zari from the Dubai Police Academy acting capacity; Brigadier Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Maamari of the Protective Council; Lieutenant Colonel Ali Youssef from Public Traffic Administration's Community Partnerships Section; Captain Majid Bin Said Al Kaabi leading the 'School Security' initiative team; along with several school directors in Dubai.

Integrated Efforts
The Protective Council oversees numerous projects like 'International Center for Protection,' 'Positive Spirit Council,' ‘School Security,’ ‘Safe Ambassadors,’ and ‘Weave’ Initiative-highlighting an integrated approach to community and security efforts aimed at fostering discipline and awareness among students.
Al Maamari commended all parties involved in preparing for this academic term-from government agencies to private sector entities-acknowledging their teamwork spirit focused on maximizing student safety measures.
Enhancing Security Measures
Captain Majid Bin Said Al Kaabi detailed that the initiative seeks to fortify school security through close collaboration with teaching bodies while mitigating societal anomalies by establishing trust between students, parents, and law enforcement via lectures and awareness activities.
