Dubai roads and Transport Authority issues important warning to motorists on major roads
The Roads and Transports Authority (RTA) in Dubai alerted drivers of a traffic congestion on a major Jumeirah road via a social media post on Saturday.
The authority stated that delays are anticipated on Jumeirah St. from 2:00 p.m. on August 17 till 5:00 a.m. on August 19 (Monday) in an update posted on RTA's X account.
The notice claims that during August 17–19, 2024, maintenance work will be done in both directions between the intersection of Al Thanya St. and Al Manara St.
From August 24 to 26, 2024, there will be maintenance work done on the segment near Mercato in both directions.
In order to guarantee their prompt arrival at their destinations, the authorities advised drivers to make appropriate travel plans and choose alternate routes.
In an earlier post on its social networking platform, X, the RTA warned drivers traveling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to anticipate delays on Emirates Road, which runs between Hatta Road and Al Ain Road. The scheduled duration of the maintenance is set for August 31, 2024.
The RTA has also alerted drivers to anticipated delays on the Dubai-Al Ain Road at the fifth intersection with Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road in both directions in an effort to improve Dubai's infrastructure even more. Due to bridge maintenance, there will be a delay on weekdays from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. until September 9, 2024.
Additionally, from 1am to 10am on weekends, Dubai-Al Ain Road will be completely closed.
