The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has closed a restaurant due to health violations.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has ordered the administrative closure of "Dhaika Restaurant and Grill" located in the Dana area of Abu Dhabi, holding the commercial license number CN-5255566. This decision was made due to violations of Law No. 2 of 2008 on Food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the associated regulations, as well as the establishment's risks to public health.

The authority explained that the closure stems from repeated food safety violations and the ineffective implementation of corrective measures. Immediate action was necessary to ensure food safety and protect consumers' health.

The administrative closure will remain in effect until the violations are rectified. The establishment may resume operations only after fully addressing the issues and complying with all food safety requirements.

The authority further highlighted that this closure and the identification of misconduct are part of its strategy to enhance food safety systems in Abu Dhabi. All food establishments are subject to regular inspections to ensure compliance with the standards, with a particular focus on proactive consumer protection.

The authority urges the public to report any observed violations in food establishments or any concerns regarding food products. Residents can contact Abu Dhabi Government's toll-free number 800555 to ensure safe and sound food for all community members in the Emirate.
