A strike notice was issued to Canada Post by its union, indicating that operations will cease by Friday at midnight.

The union, which represents over 55,000 postal workers, formally communicated this decision to management on Monday.

In light of the strike, Canada Post has announced that it will no longer accept any new packages until it concludes.

For packages already in their possession, they will be secured but not delivered during the strike period, according to reports from The Canadian Press.
