Abu Dhabi authorities have confirmed the successful interception of a hostile aerial attack by the UAE’s Air Defense Forces, resulting in fallen debris over critical energy infrastructure and residential zones.

The official statement from the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office detailed that the interception led to the tragic death of an Egyptian national during the emergency evacuation of the Habshan gas complex, alongside several injuries among the site’s workforce.

In a related context, emergency response units in Abu Dhabi demonstrated high-level efficiency in containing two fires triggered by the impact at the gas facility.

While the blazes were swiftly brought under control, officials acknowledged "significant structural damage" to the site.

Beyond the industrial zone, the Ajban area also witnessed debris falls, resulting in 12 additional injuries among Nepalese and Indian nationals, with medical teams currently treating one critical case.

For their part, regional leaders, including Arab Parliament President Mohammed Al-Yamahi, have issued a fierce condemnation of the "cowardly" strike, directly blaming regional escalation for targeting civilian and economic hubs in Abu Dhabi.

Al-Yamahi emphasized that striking vital energy assets like the Habshan facility constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and a deliberate attempt to destabilize the global energy market and regional security.

The authorities explained that a comprehensive damage assessment is underway to determine the full technical and financial impact on the Habshan gas operations.
