King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain praised the supportive and fraternal stance taken by the Arab Republic of Egypt toward the Gulf Cooperation Council countries amid the ongoing regional developments and security challenges, expressing his deep appreciation for Cairo’s solidarity and readiness to stand alongside the Gulf states in light of the Iranian attacks that targeted the region, emphasizing that this position reflects the strong historic relations between Egypt and the GCC and highlights the enduring bonds that unite the Arab world.

The King of Bahrain noted that Egypt’s position represents a genuine expression of Arab solidarity and reflects Cairo’s firm commitment to supporting its Gulf partners during difficult times, explaining that the Egyptian leadership views the security of the Gulf region as an integral part of its own national security and believes that the shared destiny of Arab nations requires strengthening coordination and cooperation to confront the challenges currently facing the region.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa stressed that Egypt’s noble stance comes at a time when the region is experiencing exceptional circumstances that require Arab countries to close ranks and enhance joint cooperation to maintain regional stability and security, highlighting that Arab unity and coordination remain essential pillars in addressing political and security threats that could undermine the stability of Arab states and emphasizing the importance of reinforcing the concept of collective Arab national security.

He also emphasized the need to maintain close coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt alongside the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and other friendly Arab nations, expressing hope that such sincere fraternal positions will help strengthen the foundations of regional peace and stability while reaffirming Bahrain’s longstanding approach of supporting peace initiatives and enhancing security and stability across the region and beyond.

In a related development Bahrain’s Ministry of Defense confirmed that the country’s air defense systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed a large number of hostile threats since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, announcing that defense forces have managed to shoot down 125 missiles and 211 drones attempting to target different locations, adding that such attacks represent a clear violation of international law while emphasizing that Bahrain’s armed forces remain fully prepared to protect the kingdom’s sovereignty and safeguard national security.
