The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science successfully uncovered a serious security case after carrying out an extensive investigation that led to the arrest of four Bahraini nationals and the identification of a fifth suspect who is currently outside the country as authorities revealed that the individuals were involved in coordinating with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard through terrorist elements located in Iran and the ministry confirmed that the operation was the result of close monitoring and detailed intelligence work aimed at protecting the security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to the official statement issued by the Ministry of Interior the suspects arrested in the case are Murtadha Hussein Awal aged twenty five Ahmed Isa Al Haiki aged thirty four Sara Abdulnabi Marhoon aged thirty six and Elias Salman Mirza aged twenty two while the fifth suspect Ali Mohammed Hassan Al Sheikh aged twenty five has been identified as currently outside the country and considered a fugitive as authorities continue their efforts to track his movements and take the necessary legal measures against him in accordance with the laws in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Investigations conducted by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science revealed that the first suspect Murtadha Hussein Awal played a central role in the operation as he was assigned organizationally to coordinate with the other suspects in order to collect sensitive information related to vital and strategic locations across Bahrain and the group relied on advanced high precision photography equipment to capture detailed images of those locations while also recording their geographic coordinates in preparation for sending the data to the entities they were communicating with outside the country.

The investigations further indicated that the suspects used encrypted communication applications to transmit the collected images and information to elements linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the data was reportedly transferred through secret channels designed to conceal the nature of the communications and avoid detection by security authorities as the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the security services were able to uncover the activity through technical monitoring and detailed analysis of the communications and digital data gathered during the investigation.
