The Abu Dhabi Media Office has released a new awareness video presenting a set of preventive guidelines aimed at helping residents deal effectively with unstable weather conditions while promoting community readiness and reducing potential risks during such periods.

The office emphasized that following these instructions plays a key role in strengthening public preparedness and enables individuals to respond safely and responsibly to changing weather conditions ensuring the protection of lives and property across the emirate.

Among the key recommendations residents were advised to keep flammable materials away from electrical systems and power rooms while ensuring regular maintenance of electrical installations and water networks through qualified technicians to avoid unexpected failures.

The guidelines also stressed the importance of checking that all electrical wires are properly insulated and not exposed in addition to avoiding opening sewage covers and staying away from construction sites which may pose risks during strong winds or heavy rainfall.

Residents were further encouraged to secure or move loose outdoor items such as furniture rooftops and fences to prevent them from becoming hazardous while also being advised to avoid driving unless absolutely necessary and to follow speed limits displayed on electronic signs.

Additional advice included staying away from water Gatherings and valleys due to potential dangers as well as ensuring that doors and windows are tightly closed to prevent rainwater leakage and minimize the impact of strong winds on homes and buildings.

The guidance concluded with a warning to avoid the sea and beaches during unstable weather conditions due to sudden risks highlighting that adherence to these measures significantly contributes to public safety during challenging weather situations.
