Launched on the first day of Abu Dhabi Business Week (ADBW) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, these projects comprise the development of a new industrial zone, a simplified business registration authority, updated strategies for small-to- medium enterprises (SMEs), and a council for family businesses.
Initiated by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahaney, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the inauguration of the Abu Dhabi Registration Authority (Adra) stood as a major feature of the presentations. Adra seeks to streamline the corporate creation procedure over the Emirate as an extension of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED). For companies running both on the mainland and free zones of Abu Dhabi, it provides a common point for corporate registration and regulatory compliance.
Adra would not only simplify registration procedures but also guarantee companies follow UAE and international laws, hence improving Abu Dhabi's standing as a friendly business environment.
